- Major injury (spine or neck injury with loss of sensation or strength)
- Chest pain or pressure
- Difficulty breathing or shortness of breath
- Head contusion with loss of consciousness or mental status changes
- Bee sting or allergic reaction with hives, swelling, or throat itching/hoarseness
- Severe heat illness / suspected heat stroke
For Medical Emergencies and Life-Threatening/Serious Conditions:

Immediate/Urgent Conditions include:
- Any acute injury with severe or incapacitating pain
- Joint dislocation or likely bone fracture
- Laceration (a cut requiring sutures)
- Animal bite, including non-human primate bites or scratches
- Needle stick injury or splash exposure to the eyes, nose, or mouth involving blood or other potentially infectious body fluids
- Acute exposures to workplace hazards (chemicals, laser, radiation)
